Growing and Growing…

03/26/2011

Watching a baby grow is one of the things I love most.  I’ve had the priviledge of watching little “H” get bigger and bigger.  From 3 months…to 6 months and now 9 months old!  From lying down, to sitting and now standing…just so much fun!  I’m looking forward to his one year shoot coming up soon…where I’m sure he’ll keep me busy busy!!  for now…enjoy some of my favs from the day!

So, one of the best parts about my job is that I get to make new friends.  I’m so happy to be able to call this family just that!  What an amazing family they are…with the center being their sweet little Miss M!  Just wait until you see how gorgeous she is!  That blonde hair, those beautiful eyes…and SO SMART, too!  We had such a fantastic time…hope you enjoy a few of my favs from the day!  :)

…a family with a purpose…

04/27/2010

So…as I’ve mentioned before, my favorite thing in the world to take photos of is my family.  When my sis, her hub and boys came for a visit…there was no question that we’d be going to do a shoot.  We loaded up in my suburban…videographer in tow…and went to the cutest little town.  On the way there…both of the boys fell asleep.  I was shocked that they woke up in such good moods, especially since they only slept for about 5 minutes.  That didn’t stop them…they were ready to go!

Now…for the purpose.  My sister and her husband will soon be going to school to become Ministers of God for The Salvation Army.  It’s a big step…in that they essentially leave their lives, jobs, school, home…to go do the work they feel called to do.  I am very proud of them and their boys…and know that they will lead many to Christ through their wonderful Christian example.  (sniff…sniff)  ;)

Enjoy a few of my favs from the day!  The video of our fun session will be coming…SOON!!  So, keep an eye out for that!

Don’t forget to leave a comment.  I love love love to hear from you!!  :)

…a special little girl and her puppy…

04/22/2010

Meet Little Miss “S”.  What a sweetie she is!  We had a great afternoon together…and she even let me meet her puppy.  (cutest thing EVER!)  It was so great to see her mommy and aunt again, too!

Enjoy a few of my favs from the day!

…little photog…

There are many ways to make your mommy smile!  One of my favorites is when my little girl, Julianna, goes and gets my very old (and broken) Minolta and “plays” photographer.  I say “plays” because to her it’s actually very real.  She goes and gets her little American Girl dolls and does her very own photo shoot.  Tells them things that she hears me say…it’s the cutest thing ever!  (at least I think it is!  :)   )

So, the last time she was doing this…I quickly grabbed my MarkDos (aka my camera)  and got to work.  Funny enough…she barely even knew I was there.  Very focused on her shoot!  lol

Anyway, enjoy a few shots of my little mini-me!  She makes me smile!!  :)

…this guys got IT…

…and that’s no lie!  Smart, Funny, Athletic, Handsome…quad threat, girls!!  ;)

We went to the perfect location and had a BLAST!  I told him that he could totally work his way through college by being a model.  (after taking a look…I’m sure you’ll agree!)  Here’s wishing “D” all the best as he rocks out his Senior Year and heads off for a bright future!  Thanks for letting me be a part of this exciting time in your life!

Can I tell you how much I LOVE taking Senior Photos?!…I guess I just did!  ;)   Be sure to tell any fab Seniors that you know and send them my way!

Don’t forget to leave your comments…go on…show him some love!!  (click LEAVE COMMENT at the top of post)

I Heart Faces:  Collage Week

http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/

This past Friday was Julianna’s very first Father/Daughter dance at school.  Who knew this day would require such preparation.  First…THE DRESS!  It had to be perfect…so, a trip to the mall was in order.  I picked a couple dresses, Nana picked a few, Aunt Kelly had her favorites…and well of course Julianna picked one.  (although her pick was vetoed before she even tried it on…after all…she’s 6, not 16!)  ;)

So, armed with 10 or so dresses…off we went to the fitting rooms.  Aunt Kelly even told Julianna that if she chose the dress she picked…she’d pay for it.  (I wonder if that offer will stand in about oh…20 years)  Speaking of that day…it was so strange how watching my 6 year old try on little dresses with my mom and sister made my mind spring ahead.  Trust me…I’m not rushing anyone to grow up here…just the thought, that one day we’ll be doing this and she’ll be all grown up.  (tear tear)  Thank goodness there will be a lot more dresses between now and then!

So, after a quick round of America’s Next Top Model…she chose the dress!  (and the winner is…Nana’s dress!)  So pretty…and BLUE.  (Quite a change from my little PINK Princess.)

After a few more days of waiting…it was TIME!  I fixed her hair just as she wanted, put on her pretty blue dress and high heel shoes and she was ready to go.  Daddy got all dressed up and before I knew it they were off.  Boy did I wish I could have been a fly on the wall that night.  They came home all smiles…”we had a great time”, she said!  “Daddy even slow danced with me!”  (good job, Daddy)  I think this is a night that none of us will ever forget!
